How Do New Things Happen? - 2010 - 2008

What it is about Last Summer we decided to choose a topic that we had recently discussed to provide a theme for an exhibition at the Sitting Room, Milverton. This was the one we thought was the most interesting arising from conversations about the development of science, technology, and social systems as well as the arts. Whilst we realised that it was unlikely that any of us would produce anything that could be described as absolutely new (as in new to this world), it gave us a reason to aspire to produce something new to ourselves. As a result we have each explored an area that is new to us. Sometimes this has meant developing new skills or tackling issues or subjects that are new to us. Often it has involved both.
